Brian was living his best life his last few months spent at Teen Challenge Southeast Region Jacksonville, FL. I remember him being court ordered into the program after many prayers and thanking God for his goodness of this opportunity for a new beginning. Many of the men entering into the Teen Challenge mens center are coming into the program with absolutey nothing on their backs, that was my brother. I remember asking for a list of things he would need and going shopping all day with excitement as if I was bringing home a new baby that day well I kinda was, because my brother was my best friend and you would do anything for them. I remember breaking down while in Hope’s Closet thrift store at the words TETELESTAI that were painted as you walked in the doors and I had to wipe the tears away because I knew in that moment God had answered a prayer for us when he said “Tetelestai” “is is finished! all I could think about was my brother’s chains were finally broken! He’d been set free! Sometimes we take for granted the simple things like clean underwear, disposable razors, a laundry basket, clean towels, clean sheets, body wash, a study bible, jolly ranchers, kaki pants and nice button ups for granted that is why we decided to create a wishlist for the Teen Challenge Mens Center to give these guys hope during their new beginning. Brian’s Journey Inc. is a bin buddy for the Isaiah117 House Duval. We have an ongoing collection of children’s hygiene items for children entering into foster care once our bin is full we drop off all supplies to the Isaiah117 House Duval to help their efforts in changing the way foster care begins.
